Dodge 3/4 ton Truck with M1 57mm Anti-tank gun
The 57mm M1 anti-tank gun was a close copy of the British QF 6pdr which was itself also used by some American forces, being introduced in 1943 into US Army units and becoming the standard anti-tank gun by mid 1944, serving in Italy and Northern Europe.
The Dodge 3/4 ton light truck was a 4x4 vehicle used for a wide variety of roles including staff vehicles, weapons carriers, ambulances and signals trucks. OftenĀ referred to as āBeepsā or āBig Jeepsā, they were most often used in the transport and tow configurations.
